KidOfficer is an educational app that helps a child prepare, in a playful way, for a future career goal (such as Pakistan's CSS civil-service exam), while a parent or guardian sets up and oversees the account. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. KidOfficer is operated by AILAB Solutions, LLC ("we", "us").
1. Information we collect
Provided by the parent/guardian
- Account details: parent name, email address, and phone/WhatsApp number, used to create and secure the account.
- Child learning profile: the child's first name (or nickname) and chosen learning track/subjects. We ask you not to enter a child's full legal name, address, or photo.
- Delivery details (Guardian app only): name, phone, city and address — used solely to deliver physical learning products you order.
Collected automatically
- Learning progress: lessons completed, quiz scores, XP, streaks and rank, so the journey can continue where the child left off.
- App analytics & diagnostics: anonymous usage events and crash reports (via Google Firebase) to keep the app stable and improve lessons. This data is not used to show personalised advertising to children.
- Push notification token: a device token so we can send streak reminders and order updates.
2. How we use information
- To provide the learning journey and save progress.
- To let a parent track their child's progress and manage the account.
- To process and deliver product orders placed by the parent.
- To send helpful reminders and order notifications (you can turn these off in your device settings).
- To fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not show behaviourally-targeted advertising to children.
3. Children's privacy
KidOfficer is designed for family use. Accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian. We collect the minimum information needed to run the learning experience, and we treat any information about a child accordingly. A parent may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information at any time (see “Your choices” below). If you believe a child has provided us information without a parent's involvement, contact us and we will delete it.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the app, under confidentiality obligations:
- Google Firebase — cloud messaging (push), analytics, and crash reporting.
- Delivery/logistics partners — only the delivery details needed to fulfil an order you place.
We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep account and progress data while the account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records (for example, order records) to meet legal obligations.
6. Your choices
- Access & correction: view and edit account and child-profile details in the app.
- Deletion: delete your account from inside the app, or use our account deletion page. You can also email us (below).
- Notifications: turn push notifications on or off in your device settings.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, token-based authentication, access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
